Women and Girls Collective Action Network;
CURL formed a partnership with Women and Girls' Collective Action Network and Chicago Girls' Coalition to conduct a secondary data analysis to determine how young women and girls are faring in Illinois. This project aims to provide statistical evidence that will inform on the issues, needs, and solutions required to ensure the healthy development of all young women and girls in Illinois.
University of Central Asia;
This report examines the current state of philanthropic activity in Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, and Tajikistan. While there is a growing body of research on Central Asia's non-governmental organizations (NGOs) and the development of the so-called 'third sector', little formal research is available on the culture and practice of philanthropy and charity in the region. The existing literature demonstrates that charitable activities in these countries take a number of forms, ranging from smallscale volunteer initiatives to nationwide campaigns supported by the private sector.
Money & Movements brought together 100+ activists & funders to strategise about the future of resourcing feminist movements and social change globally. We came from around the world and across movements – women's rights, sex workers' rights, LBQTI rights, youth, indigenous rights, environmental and economic justice, disability rights, health, and more.

NGSS Early Implementers is a four-year initiative created to help eight California school districts and two charter management organizations, supported by WestEd's K–12 Alliance, implement the Next Generation Science Standards (NGSS).
The Initiative focuses on NGSS implementation in grades K–8 and incorporates the integrated course model (preferred by the California State Board of Education) for middle school. This evaluation report discusses the integration of science disciplines in grades 6-8, including the benefits and challenges of the California preferred integrated model for science instruction.
Intended for school, state, and district leaders, the report addresses the following:
Where the districts are in their transition to the integrated model of science instruction
What integrated instruction looks like in the classroom
How the Initiative has supported teachers in implementing integrated science
Planning considerations for districts implementing the integrated model
Finally, recommendations are provided for administrator support of teachers who are shifting to science instruction that integrates the science disciplines.
A recent survey of teachers and administrators in 10 California school districts show educators' steadily increasing levels of confidence and feelings of support for making the changes required by new math standards.

The Philanthropic Closet: LGBTQ People in Philanthropy highlights the findings on sexual orientation and gender identity from the inaugural Diversity Among Philanthropic Professionals (DAPP) Survey, a first-of-its-kind pilot study on diversity in philanthropy, conducted in partnership with SMU DataArts and made possible by funding from the Evelyn and Walter Haas, Jr. Fund.
Funders are increasingly looking to engage the communities they serve in the grantmaking process, but there are few resources about how to do so. In this guide, we explore how funders can engage in participatory grantmaking and cede decision-making power about funding decisions to the very communities they aim to serve. Deciding Together: Shifting Power and Resources Through Participatory Grantmaking illustrates why and how funders around the world are engaging in this practice that is shifting traditional power dynamics in philanthropy. Created with input from a number of participatory grantmakers, the guide shares challenges, lessons learned, and best practices for engaging in inclusive grantmaking.
Safe sanitation is essential for health, from preventing infection to improving and maintaining mental and social well-being.
Developed in accordance with the processes set out in the WHO Handbook for Guideline Development, these guidelines provide comprehensive advice on maximizing the health impact of sanitation interventions. The guidelines summarize the evidence on the links between sanitation and health, provide evidence-informed recommendations, and offer guidance for international, national and local sanitation policies and programme actions. The guidelines also articulate and support the role of health authorities in sanitation policy and programming to help ensure that health risks are identified and managed effectively.
The audience for the guidelines is national and local authorities responsible for the safety of sanitation systems and services, including policy makers, planners, implementers within and outside the health sector and those responsible for the development, implementation and monitoring of sanitation standards and regulations.
This guide can help improve understanding of the requirements of women and girls using public and community toilets. It provides guidance on how to address these in city planning and local-level implementation, so that planning, designing, upgrading and management results in female-friendly toilets that are more accessible to users whose requirements have often been ignored, including women, girls, older people and people with disabilities.

Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust;
In recent years, there has been a dramatic rise in the number of people diagnosed with Autism Spectrum Disorder ("ASD") around the globe, including in Hong Kong. ASD is an umbrella term for a group of developmental disabilities characterized by significant social, communication and behavioral challenges, covering a wide array of skills and levels of disability within the "spectrum". Most Hong Kong students with ASD attend mainstream schools, presenting a number of challenges to their families and schools. Without widespread awareness and thorough understanding of ASD, students with ASD may be viewed as undisciplined in the classroom and struggle to get along with their peers.
In response to this formidable challenge, The Hong Kong Jockey Club Charities Trust initiated the "JC A-Connect: Jockey Club Autism Support Network" in 2015, a three-year, HK$167 million programme designed to enhance support for Hong Kong students with ASD.

This working paper is based on the analysis of 28 national replies to a questionnaire addressing the implementation of the provisions on social assistance and economically inactive EU citizens in the context of Directive 2004/38 over the time frame 2014-2016.1 It presents main findings and is concerned with how the EU28 are implementing the provisions on social assistance and economically inactive EU citizens and what issues are relevant for the effective exercise of EU citizenship rights in this specific area of law. This monitoring effort is part of the 2015-2018 work programme of the Jean Monnet Centre of Excellence implemented by the Centre for Migration Law (Radboud University Nijmegen). The questionnaire was sent out to 28 national experts and focused on 3 main themes: social rights, family reunification and permanent residence.
